USCG adopts Biofouling Management Plan Requirements in Addition to pre-existing BWMP
US has updated its requirements on Biofouling Management in 33 CFR 151.2050. The three topics under §§(e), (f), (g) have been added and must be addressed within a Management Plan:

1. Rinse of anchors and anchor chains
2. removing fouling organism from vessel’s hull
3. amending of the BWMP to reference biofouling maintenance.
